PE
PE lessons are on Wednesday and Thursday. On PE days, children are to come into school dressed in their PE kit.
Homework
Homework comes home in homework books on Friday and is due the following Friday.
Reading
Reading books are changed each Monday. Please ensure your child's reading book and diary are brought to school with them every day for diaries to be checked and for extra reads to take place throughout the week.
Maths Fluency: Each child has a SumDog password and we encourage them to practice regularly at home.
Times Tables
By the end of each year the children are expected know the timestable facts securely for certain tables. This means that they know 3x2 = 6 2x3= 6 ÷ 2 = 3. Year 2 are introduced to the multiplication and division symbols towards the end of Autumn Term. Year 4 children will have their multiplication check in June.
The expected tables are :
- Year 2: Children should be learning the 2, 5, and 10 times tables.
- Year 3: children should be learning the 3, 4 and 8 times tables.
- Year 4: children should know all multiplication tables up to 12 × 12.
