Dodleston Parliment
At Dodleston, our child take an active part in our school and are involved in key decisions. We have introduced our School Parliment which every child is a member of. The children meet in groups every few weeks and discuss important topics in school. Feedback is gathered by staff and then acted upon.
Ethos Leaders
Our Ethos Leaders meet weekly to discuss how we can further develop the Christian character of our school. We are really lucky that we have Emma from the charity Chester Schools Christian Workers who comes in and supports our sessions. So far this year, we have organised several school events and have been instrumental in developing our new school Christian vision and ethos.
Events we have planned include:
Welcome service
Macmillan Coffee Morning
Celebrate Christmas
Celebrate Easter
Check out the galleries below to see our work in action.
We have also invited local schools in to see the work that we do and invited them to join us with Worship.
Next we plan to develop prayer spaces throughout the school and introduce our Values Passports.
Celebrate Christmas
CDAT Spirituality Training
Eccleston Visit
Celebrate Easter 2025
Worship Teams
Each half term, new children are selected to be part of the Class Worship Team. This rotates so that all children get to have a go at being part of a Worship Team. As a member of Class Worship Team, children have the opportunity to be awarded a Rainbow Certificate for their contrinbution towards worships. In order to obtain their certificate children must fulfill the different responsibilities for their year group. Below is a document showing what each Year Group's Class Worship Teams are expected to be able to do along with the certificates they will be awarded.
School Safety Officers
Our School Safety Officers meet half-termly to discuss ideas about how to help keep us safe. They have so far launched a Road Safety Campaign and supported Mrs Aldana with our WOW Living Streets initiative
