The School

Dodleston Primary School is a small village Church of England Primary School at the heart of our rural community. We are a caring, welcoming and happy school where everyone belongs, everyone is valued and every child matters.

Being a small school is one of our greatest strengths. It enables us to build strong, positive and caring relationships between children, staff and families, creating a genuine sense of belonging. We truly are a school family, where everyone is known as an individual, listened to, encouraged and supported. We believe that children thrive when they feel safe, happy and loved, and that strong relationships provide the foundations for learning, confidence and success.

Our family ethos extends beyond the school gates. We are proud of our close links with our village and local church, and we provide a range of activities and experiences that help our children develop a strong sense of connection with the wider community.

As a Church of England school, Christian values underpin everything we do. Our mixed-age classes provide opportunities for children to learn together, support one another and develop independence. Through careful curriculum planning and assessment, we ensure that learning builds progressively and that every child has access to a rich and balanced range of experiences.
